GRAFT Foundation will in 2016 provide free plastic surgery repairs to an estimated number of 200 needy patients in the Ashanti Region. These surgeries have been structured in two phases. The first phase would be from May 27th to 5th June, 2016 and the second phase of surgeries from September, 29th to October 9th, 2016. Surgeries will take place at the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital.

Registration of patients will start from January 2016 to April 2016 at all regional and district hospitals in the Ashanti Region. Screening and selection of Patients will be done in six (6) hospitals across the region; Agogo, Bekwai, Tepa, Obuasi, Offinso and Ejura. Screening process will be from 14th to 25th April, 2016.

An intense 4 months awareness creation and publicity would be put in place to support the registration and screening process. Educational talk shows on TV and Radio will be used to educate the locals on stigmatization of conditions and support systems available to them from GRAFT foundation. GRAFT Foundation media partners include Starr Fm, Atinka Fm, Joy Fm, GTV, Multi TV, Precious TV, Peace Fm, UTV, TV Africa, Citi Fm, Viasat 1 and OK Fm. Radio and TV channels in the Ashanti region will be partnered to help with creating more awareness. Outdoor Advertising including posters will be taken advantage of, to further publicize and boost awareness campaign.

Screened and selected patients for surgeries will be given their respective dates to report for surgeries. Feeding, Transportation and Accommodation for GRAFT Team members and some selected patients will be provided for free.

Operated Patients will be reviewed 2 weeks and 1 month respectively after the dates of the surgeries. Patients needing referral will be referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and 37 Military Hospital.

GRAFT Hope Project 5 (Ashanti Project) partners will be advertised as partners on all media interviews, documentaries and will be appreciated with citations and certificates. Carefully selected patients will embark on a “Thank you tour” to show appreciation to sponsors and partners.
